5-Year Limited Warranty for Telescopes and Accessories
Tele Vue telescopes and accessories (excluding electronic parts) are warranted to the original owner to be free of manufacturing and/or workmanship defects for 5 years from the date of purchase.
1-Year Limited Warranty for Electronic Parts
Tele Vue electronic parts (including but not limited to: Focusmate™ driver motor, cable, and hand-controller, Starbeam Illuminator, and Qwik Point) are warranted to be free of manufacturing and/or workmanship defects to the original owner for 1 year from the date of purchase.
These warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable. Defects covered under these warranties are limited to material, workmanship, and normal mechanical operation of the product. The warranty does not include defects caused by mishandling, alteration, defects of subjective nature, normal wear and tear caused by use, or coverage for any product purchased through an unauthorized Tele Vue dealer.
The original owner must complete a warranty registration card and send it to Tele Vue Optics, Inc., 32 Elkay Dr., Chester, NY 10918, in order for the warranty to be valid. For products sold without warranty registration cards, an original dated sales receipt containing the original purchaser’s name will serve as proof of purchase for registration. If your Tele Vue product requires warranty service, please call Tele Vue to discuss the problem, upon which you will receive a return authorization. No returns are accepted without prior authorization.
Warranty work will be performed at Tele Vue’s discretion and may only be performed by Tele Vue Optics. Warranty is void if work is performed by anyone other than Tele Vue Optics. Tele Vue Optics reserves the right to assign warranty service to authorized service centers. In the event a product cannot be serviced, Tele Vue will replace the defective item with a current equivalent product. All shipping and insurance costs are excluded from this warranty.
These warranties give you specific legal rights. You may be entitled to other rights which vary from state to state. For warranty coverage outside the USA, contact your local authorized Tele Vue dealer for warranty information. You may have other rights which vary from country to country.
