This dedicated 5X Barlow increases the effective focal length of your system, and Antlia says it enhances detail when used, optimizing performance for solar photography of features such as plage. For optical trains requiring additional spacing, optional 50mm and 70mm extension tubes give more back focus if needed and support the system in achieving co-focus.

5X Magnification for High-Resolution CaK Imaging

This Barlow is not a general-purpose accessory; it is an integrated component of the Antlia 5Å CaK imaging system. Increasing the image scale fivefold places small solar features, such as the bright areas of plage surrounding sunspots and light bridges, across more pixels of your camera at the 393.3nm Calcium-K wavelength.

Achieving Focus with 50mm and 70mm Extension Tubes

Adding a Barlow lens alters the focus point of an optical system.
