The scope's 55mm pure fluorite crystal objective lens delivers true-to-life color with chromatic aberration virtually eliminated, while the integrated 17-40x zoom eyepiece provides a field of view as wide as 192 feet at 1,000 yards. Weighing just 34 oz and measuring only 10 inches long, the TSN-55A focuses down to 9.1 feet, making it as capable with nearby subjects as it is with distant landscapes. This kit pairs the scope with the 3 lb Vanguard VESTA GO 264CV12 tripod, so the kit is ready to use right out of the box.

The 55mm PROMINAR Objective: Pure Fluorite Crystal Optics

At the heart of the TSN-55A is a 55mm objective lens crafted from pure fluorite crystal. Kowa integrates its TE-11WZ II wide-angle zoom eyepiece technology, previously reserved for larger PROMINAR models, into the body, which expands the field of view by up to around 50% compared with its predecessor, the TSN-550. The result is an expansive field of view, ranging from 192 ft at 17x down to 105 ft at 40x (at 1,000 yards), allowing for immersive, wide-angle views.

The trade-off for this compact, high-performance design is that the eyepiece is not interchangeable.
