It creates a solid, non-flexing link between your focuser body and the Prodigy motor, which is essential for achieving the repeatable, high-precision results demanded by modern autofocus routines.

Seamless Prodigy Integration for 10-inch Newtonian Telescopes

Designed for a perfect fit, this adapter eliminates the guesswork and potential instability of universal mounting solutions. By creating a rigid, backlash-free connection, it ensures that every step of the Prodigy's motor is translated directly into precise focuser movement. This mechanical integrity is the foundation of reliable automated focusing, preventing slippage or flexure that can ruin a sub-exposure or an entire imaging session.

What is the purpose of this specific Prodigy Microfocuser adapter?

This adapter is designed exclusively to connect the Pegasus Astro Prodigy Microfocuser to the focuser drawtube of a 10-inch Newtonian telescope.
