This adapter allows you to attach the powerbox directly to the mount's saddle, creating a compact and cable-friendly imaging setup. By co-rotating the power and data hub with your telescope, it effectively prevents cable snags and drag during long exposures.

Integrated Power and Data for Sky-Watcher NEQ6 & EQ6-R Mounts

This puck is the key to physically integrating the Pegasus Astro Saddle Powerbox with your Sky-Watcher NEQ6, EQ6-R, or compatible Orion Atlas mount. It replaces the need for straps or other temporary solutions with a robust, direct mechanical connection. The result is a clean setup where all power and data ports move with the telescope, dramatically simplifying cable management and reducing the risk of a ruined exposure from a pulled cable.

What is the purpose of the Saddle Powerbox Puck for NEQ6/EQ6-R?

Its sole function is to provide a secure, stable attachment point for the Pegasus Astro Saddle Powerbox directly onto the saddle plate of a Sky-Watcher NEQ6, EQ6-R, or a compatible Orion mount. By attaching your Saddle Powerbox with this puck, all your power and USB cables move with the mount. This prevents cables from getting caught on the tripod or tangling as the mount tracks, which could otherwise ruin your guiding and your entire imaging session.

Is installation of the Saddle Powerbox Puck difficult?

Installation is straightforward. Imaging near the pole often involves long, slow movements where cable drag can subtly affect tracking accuracy.
