I’ve always tried to find away to get around the issue of slewing around an object and not pressing the right button and going the other way. During visual astronomy, telescopes will flip and invert images based on configuration. Working in the dark makes the matter more frustrating. My solution: the amici prism. I like having the image properly oriented to my observing location. This opens the door to moonrise observing. I like catching the moon before it edges up through the horizon. It is stunning, but only if the image is correct. Terrestrial observation can also be done. I think Baader makes the best amici’s. I have the 2” as well. The views through Baaders amici’s are extraordinary and well worth it. I’ve applied this approach to binoviewing via the use of the T-2 amici. I added the heavy duty quick changer and the 2” nosepieces with safety kerfs to it. Best arrangement for me and best prices and shipping and options from David Astro. Thanks so much. Highly recommended.
