    Disclaimer

    You will need to remove the teflon block of your stock focuser and transfer it on the upgrade kit, as well as the screws.

Great 2 speed focuser.

The Instructions are very vague there is a 1/16 hex on the right side of the focuser you unscrew that and the shaft slides to the right you then insert the block from the old focuser there in the middle once I did that it work's great.

Easy to Install

Purchased Lacerta 1:10 focuser for my Celestron 10" dob. The upgrade was easy to install, about 10 minutes, and works well for focusing with this telescope. A great upgrade over the single speed focuser.

Great unit; poor documentation

The Lacerta is a solid, well built unit. My biggest two complaints were having to use some old pieces to complete the install: at the price, it should come complete.
Secondly, there were no instructions. That is unexcuseable. I was directed to a YouTube video, which left out a few steps. I figured it all out, but please, add some instructions!
All in all, I'm glad I got it; it is a great improvement over a single speed focuser.

Love it

Shipping was fast and accurate however I was a little uncertain about the need to switch the tensioner and screw to the new Lacerta so I reached out to the David Astro team .
I received a quick response and was then able have it installed in less than twenty minutes..
Once you experience that fine focus
what a game changer
there is just no coming back from that !

Nice upgrade for my Orion XT8

The quality seems very durable and well made. Fairly easy to install for anyone with a little mechanical inclination. This will not work on a rack and pinion style focuser only crayford (No teeth).

123
