Celestron's proprietary XLT optical coatings, the same used on their observatory-grade telescopes, further enhance the view by maximizing light transmission through the entire optical path. This combination of ED glass and superior coatings ensures the brightest, highest-contrast images possible, especially in the critical low-light conditions of dawn and dusk.

Magnesium Alloy Body and Dual-Speed Focuser: Over 14% Lighter

By using a magnesium alloy for the main body, Celestron reduced the Regal M2's weight by over 14% compared to its predecessor, bringing the base weight down to just 55.5 oz. This significant weight reduction makes it easier to carry into the field and allows for stable viewing on lighter tripods without sacrificing durability.

The upgraded dual-speed focuser mechanism is a critical feature for high-magnification viewing. The coarse focus knob allows you to find your subject quickly—up to two times faster than a single-speed focuser—while the fine focus knob lets you dial in perfectly sharp detail. The entire housing is fully waterproof and nitrogen-purged, preventing internal fogging during sudden temperature or humidity changes.

From 20x Wide-Field Scanning to 60x High-Power Observation

The included 8-24mm zoom eyepiece gives you a powerful 20-60x magnification range. At 20x, you get a generous 110-foot linear field of view at 1000 yards, perfect for scanning a landscape or locating wildlife.
