    This adapter is the most direct way to achieve prime-focus imaging.   • What cameras can I use with the ZWO 1.25" T-Mount Adapter?

    You can use any camera that has a female T-thread (M42x0.75). This includes all ZWO astronomy cameras, as well as DSLRs and mirrorless cameras when they are fitted with a brand-specific T-Ring.

    How do I attach a filter to the ZWO T-Mount Adapter?

    The 1.25" nosepiece barrel is internally threaded with standard M28.5x0.6 filter threads. Simply screw your 1.25" filter directly into the barrel of the adapter before inserting it into the telescope's focuser.

    Is this adapter suitable for visual use with an eyepiece?

    No, this adapter is designed specifically for astrophotography. It connects a camera to a telescope and does not have a holder for an eyepiece. For visual use, you would insert an eyepiece directly into the focuser.

    Will I be able to reach focus with the ZWO 1.25" T-Mount Adapter on my Newtonian reflector?

    Many Newtonian reflectors have limited back-focus. While this adapter is very short, you may still need a Barlow lens placed before the adapter to extend the focal point and reach focus with your camera. Refractors and Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes typically have sufficient focus travel.

    What is the difference between a T-Mount and a C-Mount?

    A T-Mount uses M42x0.75 threads and has a flange distance of 55mm (when used with a DSLR T-Ring). A C-Mount is smaller (1"x32 TPI thread) with a 17.526mm flange distance. This ZWO adapter is a T-Mount adapter and is not compatible with C-Mount cameras without an additional adapter.

    Does the ZWO T-Mount Adapter add any magnification?

    No, this adapter does not contain any optics and does not change the magnification. It serves only as a physical connection, allowing your camera to use the native focal length of your telescope.
