With the iOptron Go2Nova® Handset 8405, you command a database of over 14,000 celestial objects using a responsive 32-bit ARM processor. All target information appears clearly on the backlit, 4-line, 21-character display, and centering is controlled with 5 distinct slew speeds, from MAX for GoTo slews down to 2X for fine adjustments.
The core of the Go2Nova 8405 is its extensive GOTONOVA® database, which includes over 14,000 deep-sky objects, stars, and solar system targets. The handset's 32-bit ARM processor ensures quick, lag-free access to catalogs like Messier, NGC, and IC. At night, the backlit 4-line, 21-character LCD remains perfectly readable without compromising your dark adaptation.
The Go2Nova 8405 gives you granular control over your mount's movement with 5 selectable speeds. Use the MAX speed for rapid GoTo slewing across the sky. Once the target is in the finder scope, switch to 256X or 64X to bring it into the eyepiece field, then use the 8X and 2X speeds for final, precise centering of planets or tight double stars.

The handset offers 5 different control speeds to give you precise control over your mount. The available speeds are 2X, 8X, 64X, 256X, and MAX (maximum slew speed of the connected mount).
The Go2Nova 8405 features a backlit, 4-line, 21-character LCD display. The backlighting ensures readability in dark conditions, while the multi-line display shows comprehensive information about the selected object and mount status.
The handset is driven by a 32-bit ARM processor, which ensures responsive performance when browsing the extensive object database or issuing commands to the mount.
After performing a GoTo to Jupiter, you would use the faster speeds (256X or 64X) to move the planet from the edge of the eyepiece view to the center. Then, you would switch to the slowest speeds (8X and 2X) to make fine adjustments, perfectly centering Jupiter for high-magnification viewing or imaging.
Once the GoTo is complete, the 4-line, 21-character display on the Go2Nova 8405 will show the object's designation (M13), its catalog number, and other relevant data. This provides immediate confirmation that the mount is pointing at the correct target before you even look through the eyepiece.
