This Sky-Watcher 2" Eyepiece Holder is a replacement for the eyepiece holder supplied with Sky-Watcher Dobsonians that have a 50mm focuser opening. It allows you to securely mount standard 2" eyepieces and accessories, restoring the original functionality of your telescope's focuser. Sky-Watcher Dobsonian drawtubes are not a plain 2" bore, so a 2" eyepiece does not slide in directly as it does on other scopes; this holder (part number SP11015) provides that 2" fit.
Direct 2" Accessory Fit for 50mm Sky-Watcher Focusers

Why do I need this specific Sky-Watcher 50mm eyepiece holder?
Many Sky-Watcher Dobsonian focusers do not have a standard 2" diameter drawtube bore. This eyepiece holder is required to adapt the focuser's 50mm opening to securely hold standard 2" eyepieces and accessories, which would not fit otherwise.

After installing the Sky-Watcher 50mm holder, my 2" eyepiece is blurry and won't focus. What's wrong?
First, make sure this holder is not stacked with another adapter, such as the 1.25" adapter, as eyepieces may then fail to reach focus. If the problem persists, check that the eyepiece is fully seated and that you have sufficient in-travel or out-travel on your focuser knob.
