Chroma Narrowband Filters
Chroma narrowband filters isolate the H-alpha, OIII, SII and H-beta emission lines for imaging nebulae with a monochrome camera, even from light-polluted sites. Each line comes in 3nm, 5nm and 8nm bandwidths: 3nm gives the highest contrast and smallest star halos, while 5nm and 8nm collect signal faster.
Versions optimized for f/3 shift the passband to stay centered on the line in fast optics such as RASA, HyperStar and fast refractors. Together they support Hubble palette (SHO) and HOO imaging.
