    Astrophotography Product

The ZWO OAG (Off-Axis Guider) is a compact and efficient guiding solution for astrophotographers seeking to improve tracking accuracy while minimizing equipment complexity. Designed to work seamlessly with ZWO cameras and filter wheels, this guider simplifies your imaging train by eliminating the need for a separate guide scope, reducing weight, and avoiding potential flexure.

    Integrated Guiding Solution

Provides precise tracking by capturing light from a small portion of your telescope's field of view, ensuring reliable guiding without additional equipment.

    Compact and Lightweight Design

With a slim profile of only 16.5mm thickness, the ZWO OAG is ideal for setups with limited backfocus or when maintaining a compact imaging train.

    Adjustable Prism Position

Equipped with an 8mm x 8mm prism, which can be adjusted to maximize light capture and avoid vignetting in your primary imaging sensor.

    Wide Compatibility

Designed to work with ZWO cameras and EFW (Electronic Filter Wheel) systems, supporting both cooled and uncooled models. Includes M42 and M48 thread adapters for versatile connectivity.

    Robust Construction

Made from high-quality aluminum, the OAG is built to last, offering stability and durability even during extended imaging sessions.

    Secure Guide Camera Attachment

The guider port is designed for a secure connection to ZWO guide cameras, ensuring stability and accurate tracking throughout your astrophotography sessions.

    Usage Guide

    • 1. Please calculate the correct required distance for your imaging train at first. For example you need to attach 21mm extender to ASI071 to reach a 55mm back focus distance:17.5mm+21mm+16.5mm=55mm
    • 2. Take off the guider prism part and attach the OAG body to the telescope.
    • 3. Insert the prism part into the OAG body.
    • 4. Mount the guide camera
    • 5. Screw the T2 or M48 adapter on the imaging camera according to your mount type.
    • 6. Mount the camera on the OAG in the correct position and lock the 3 screws in place.
    • 7. The final setup
Note: please make sure the prism won’t block the imaging area.
Use the guiding screw to adjust the guiding camera’s focus.
You’d better do it in the daytime to make sure the imaging camera and the guiding camera can reach focus at the same position.
