If you plan to use a barlow with a linear binoviewer, it is crucial to choose a telecentric barlow, such as the Explore Scientific Focal Extenders or TeleVue PowerMates. Regular barlows are not suitable, as they produce divergent light paths, resulting in mismatched images between the eyepieces.
