The Askar 50P features a sophisticated Quadruplet Petzval APO optical design, which includes one piece of SD glass. This configuration ensures excellent color correction and flat-field performance across the entire image circle, minimizing chromatic aberration for cleaner, truer colors. Optimized for 1" sensors while providing support for APS-C formats, the integrated design means there is no external flattener required, allowing you to attach your camera and start imaging immediately with edge-to-edge sharpness.

The lens tube is engineered as a single, streamlined lightweight unit designed for maximum portability. For added convenience, the lens hood features a reversible bayonet design: it can be extended during use to block stray light effectively and reversed during storage to reach a total length of just 147mm. Combined with the included dust cover, this design offers both protection and a minimalist footprint that fits easily into a camera bag or backpack.

Integrated Multi-Functional Tube Ring

The 50P features a versatile tube ring designed to be the central hub of your setup. It doubles as a sturdy carrying handle for easy transport, while the top slot follows the Arca-Swiss standard, allowing the telescope to be mounted directly onto a tripod as a quick-release plate.

For expanded functionality, dual finder bases are integrated on both sides of the ring, and multiple standard M4 threaded holes are available for attaching guiders, controller units, or other essential accessories.

Versatile Optical Tube Design

The 50P offers remarkable flexibility in how it integrates with your gear. It comes equipped with a 160mm dovetail plate, providing ample room for balancing on various mounts.
