What is the primary purpose of the PrimaLuceLab 2" Nosepiece for ARCO 2"?

Its primary purpose is to allow the ARCO 2" rotator to be inserted into any standard 2" focuser or visual back, just like an eyepiece. This is necessary for telescopes that do not offer a threaded connection for accessories on their focuser drawtube.

Can I use the PrimaLuceLab 2" Nosepiece for ARCO 2" with a non-PrimaLuceLab focuser?

Yes. This nosepiece is designed to fit any focuser that accepts standard 2" barrel accessories. As long as your focuser has a 2" eyepiece holder with a compression ring or set screws, you can use this adapter to mount your ARCO 2" rotator.

How does this nosepiece help when using an ARCO 2" rotator with a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope?

Most Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (SCTs) come standard with a 2" visual back that uses a compression ring. The PrimaLuceLab 2" Nosepiece allows you to slide the ARCO 2" rotator directly into that visual back, making it easy to add precise rotation to your SCT imaging train without changing the stock focuser.

Do I need this nosepiece if my focuser already has a threaded connection for the ARCO 2"?

No. If your focuser, such as a PrimaLuceLab ESATTO, has the correct threaded adapter to connect directly to the ARCO 2", you do not need this 2" nosepiece. This adapter is specifically for focusers that lack a threaded attachment point.

Is the PrimaLuceLab 2" Nosepiece for ARCO 2" required for field de-rotation on an alt-az mount?

While the ARCO 2" rotator itself is used for field de-rotation, this nosepiece is only required if your telescope on the alt-az mount uses a 2" visual back instead of a threaded connection. The nosepiece provides the physical connection method; the de-rotation is the function of the ARCO.

How do I attach the PrimaLuceLab 2" Nosepiece to the ARCO 2" rotator?

The nosepiece threads securely onto the body of the ARCO 2" rotator. Once attached, the entire assembly can be inserted into a 2" focuser and locked in place with the focuser's compression ring or thumbscrews.
