What is the primary function of the PrimaLuceLab M81 to M72 adapter?

Its primary function is to convert the M81 female thread on the draw tube of a PrimaLuceLab ESATTO 3" focuser or ARCO 3" rotator into an M72 female thread. This allows you to securely attach cameras, field flatteners, or other accessories that have a corresponding M72 male thread.

Which PrimaLuceLab products is this M81 to M72 adapter compatible with?

This adapter is specifically designed for PrimaLuceLab products that feature the large M81 threaded connection. This includes the ESATTO 3" robotic microfocuser and the ARCO 3" robotic rotator.

How does this PrimaLuceLab M81 to M72 adapter attach to my focuser?

The adapter has an M81 male thread that screws directly into the M81 female thread on the ESATTO 3" or ARCO 3" draw tube. This creates a solid, rigid connection for the rest of your imaging train.

What kind of accessories can I connect with this M81 to M72 adapter?

You can connect any astrophotography accessory that terminates in an M72x1 male thread. This commonly includes: Field flatteners or reducer/correctors, Off-axis guiders (OAGs), and Custom camera adapters and spacers.

I have a full-frame camera with an M72 male thread. Will this adapter let me connect it securely to my ESATTO 3" on my Ritchey-Chrétien telescope?

Yes, this is precisely the intended use case. The adapter provides the secure, threaded connection needed to prevent any tilt or sag when using a heavy camera on a large instrument like a Ritchey-Chrétien, ensuring your sensor remains perfectly flat to the focal plane.

If I'm building an imaging train for my large refractor with an ARCO 3" rotator, is this M81 to M72 adapter the right part for my M72-threaded flattener?

Yes. If your field flattener has an M72 male thread, this adapter will allow you to connect it directly to the output of the ARCO 3" rotator. This ensures your entire imaging train, from rotator to camera, is rigidly connected for precise framing and rotation.
