Les filtres à bande étroite Explore Scientific sont des Nebula Filters qui laissent passer une seule raie d'émission et bloquent l'essentiel de la pollution lumineuse et de la lumière lunaire. La gamme comprend des filtres H-Alpha et S-II de 6.5nm, 7nm ou 12nm de bande passante, en 1.25" et 2".

Ils servent surtout à photographier les nébuleuses en émission avec une caméra astronomique monochrome. Les versions 12nm tolèrent mieux les optiques ouvertes, les 6.5nm et 7nm donnent plus de contraste en banlieue.
