What eyepieces fit in the Baader Hyperion/Morpheus Eyepiece Case?

This case is specifically designed to hold up to 8 Baader Hyperion eyepieces. The precision-cut foam inserts are also compatible with the Baader Morpheus eyepiece series, allowing you to store a mix of both.

Why choose the dedicated Baader case over a generic one?

The primary advantage is the pre-cut, custom-fit foam. Unlike generic "pick-and-pluck" foam which can degrade over time and offer a loose fit, this case provides a secure, snug cradle for each eyepiece, minimizing movement and maximizing protection during transport.

I have 5 Hyperions and 2 Morpheus eyepieces. Will they fit securely in this case?

Yes, absolutely. The case is designed for this kind of flexibility. Your mixed set of Hyperion and Morpheus eyepieces will fit securely in the 8 available slots, making it an ideal solution for observers who own eyepieces from both series.

Is the Baader Hyperion/Morpheus Eyepiece Case suitable for air travel?

While the case offers excellent protection for car travel to local dark sky sites and for home storage, its specific suitability for checked airline baggage would depend on its material and latch construction, for which specifications are not provided. For carry-on use, it provides a superb way to keep your valuable eyepieces organized and safe.

Does the foam in the Baader Hyperion/Morpheus Eyepiece Case come pre-cut?

Yes. The foam insert comes with 8 precision-cut openings, perfectly sized for the Baader Hyperion and Morpheus eyepiece bodies. There is no need for manual cutting or plucking.

Is this case a good choice for taking my eyepieces to a dark site to view the Orion Nebula (M42)?

Yes, this is an ideal use case. Having your entire set of up to 8 eyepieces in one organized case makes field setup much more efficient. You can quickly select the right Hyperion or Morpheus eyepiece to frame all of M42 or zoom in on the Trapezium cluster without fumbling with individual boxes in the dark.
