  • 300mm f/4 Standard Grade Primary Mirror

A 300mm f/4 Newtonian primary mirror hand-figured by Orion Optics UK to Standard grade (1/4 PV wavefront accuracy).

    Wavefront-Accuracy Grading

Orion Optics UK hand-figures every primary mirror in-house to a wavefront-accuracy grade (Standard 1/4 PV, Professional 1/6 PV, Research 1/8 PV, or Ultra 1/10 PV) -- the smaller the fraction, the more precisely the surface matches a perfect parabola, and the sharper and higher-contrast the resulting image. Supplied with a Zygo interferometer test report.
