What is the purpose of the PrimaLuceLab Paramount MX Adapter for C120 Pier?

This adapter serves as the physical connection between a Software Bisque Paramount MX mount and a PrimaLuceLab C120 Pier. It is essential for securely attaching the mount head to the top of the pier.

If I am building an observatory with a PrimaLuceLab C120 Pier, what do I need to attach my Paramount MX?

This adapter is the correct and required component. It is specifically designed to match the mounting base of the Paramount MX to the top plate of the C120 pier, ensuring a rigid and reliable installation for your imaging system.

Is this adapter compatible with other Paramount mounts, like the ME II or MyT?

This adapter is specified only for the Paramount MX. Other mounts, even from the same manufacturer, may have different base dimensions and bolt patterns. You should source the specific adapter designed for your particular mount model.

Can I use this PrimaLuceLab adapter with a pier other than the C120?

No, this adapter is designed to mate with the top plate and bolt pattern of the PrimaLuceLab C120 Pier. Attempting to use it with other piers would likely result in an insecure or incompatible fit.

How does the PrimaLuceLab adapter ensure a stable connection for the Paramount MX?

By providing a direct, purpose-built mechanical link, the adapter eliminates any potential for slippage, vibration, or flexure between the mount and the pier. This solid foundation is critical for maintaining precise polar alignment and achieving sharp, untrailed stars during long-exposure astrophotography.

I have a Paramount MX mount and want to install it on a C120 Pier. Is this the correct part?

Yes. The PrimaLuceLab Paramount MX Adapter for the C120 Pier is the exact component manufactured to join these two specific pieces of equipment.
