Is the Software Bisque Paramount MX/MYT Base Mounting Knob sold individually?

Yes, this product includes one single replacement knob. The Paramount MYT and MX/MX+ mounts require a set of four knobs for complete attachment to a pier or tripod.

Will this mounting knob fit other Software Bisque mounts besides the Paramount MYT and MX/MX+?

No, this knob is specifically designed with the correct threading and size for the base of the Paramount MYT and Paramount MX/MX+ mounts. It is not compatible with other models like the Taurus or ME series.

What is the purpose of the Paramount MX/MYT Base Mounting Knob?

This knob is one of four used to physically secure the equatorial head of your Paramount MYT or MX/MX+ mount to its tripod or pier adapter. A firm, even attachment is critical for stable imaging and accurate tracking.

I've lost one knob while setting up my Paramount MYT at a dark sky site. Is this the correct part to order?

Yes, this is the official OEM replacement part from Software Bisque. Ordering this will ensure you have the correct component to securely attach your Paramount MYT mount.

How many Paramount MX/MYT Base Mounting Knobs do I need to attach my Paramount MX+ mount?

You need a total of four knobs to properly secure a Paramount MX+ mount head. This product is sold as a single unit to replace one of those four original knobs.

Why does the specification list the weight of the Paramount MX/MYT Base Mounting Knob as 3 lbs?

The listed weight of 3 lbs and dimensions of 12 × 12 × 6 in reflect the item's shipping weight and packaging dimensions, not the physical weight of the knob itself. This accounts for the protective materials used during transit.
