  • Tele Vue Tele-Pod - Encoder Equipped

    The Tele-Pod mount with encoders already fitted, ready to connect to a Digital Setting Circles computer for push-to object locating.

    Pre-Installed Encoders

    Encoders are 2160-step, 0.167° (10 arcminutes) per step, pre-installed with the cables needed to connect a Digital Setting Circles computer (sold separately).

    The Tele-Pod Head

    The self-contained alt-azimuth head comes with a handle, accepts optional encoders, and fits any camera tripod with a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 stud. Its cradle interior is 5-5/16" (135mm) wide and 2-1/2" (64mm) high.

    Aluminum Tripod

    The black-anodized aluminum tripod legs have three sections, with rubber-tipped feet and spiked feet included, a bubble level, glove-friendly locking clamps and a carry bag. Telescope height ranges from about 29" to over 60".

    Add the Eyepiece Caddy

    The Tele-Pod has no accessory tray, so Tele Vue highly recommends its Eyepiece Caddy Set, sold separately.

  • Is a computer included?

    No. The encoders and cables are installed; the Digital Setting Circles computer is sold separately.
