  • ToupTek StellaVita Smart Astrophotography WiFi Controller

The ToupTek StellaVita Smart Astrophotography WiFi Controller centralizes your entire imaging system, providing four app-controlled 12V DC outputs with up to 3A per port and a robust dual-band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz Wi-Fi connection. It integrates two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports for high-speed data transfer from cameras and accessories. All equipment is managed through the StellaVita app, which includes a star map of over 10,000 target objects with field-of-view framing.

    2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi: A 10m Wireless Command Center

StellaVita creates its own Wi-Fi hotspot, so the telescope does not need a tethered computer. The external high-gain, dual-band antenna operates on both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, providing a stable connection for controlling your entire setup from a smartphone or tablet. It achieves a wireless range of up to 10 meters, though this figure reflects performance in an open, interference-free environment and may vary in the field.

    • Flexible Connectivity: In addition to Wi-Fi, StellaVita includes a Gigabit Ethernet (RJ45) port for a hardwired network connection, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, a USB-C port, and an SD card slot for data storage.
    • DSLR Control: A DSLR port connects the listed Canon, Nikon and Sony models.

4 x 12V DC Outputs: Power Your Entire Imaging Rig

Simplify your cable management by powering your equipment directly from the StellaVita. The controller accepts a 12V, 8A DC input and distributes it across four independent 12V DC output ports. Each port supplies up to 3A, and the four outputs can be toggled in the StellaVita app settings.

An indicator light above each port confirms its power status at a glance. The package includes a set of four DC power cables in 0.5m and 1.0m lengths, plus a 1.5m extension, to connect your mount, cooled camera, focuser, and other accessories right out of the box.

StellaVita App: Plan Your Session with a 10,000+ Object Star Map

The StellaVita App (App 2.0 for Android, App 1.0 for iOS) runs your imaging sessions. It comes with all necessary software and drivers preloaded, so no third-party installations are required. From the app you control GoTo and polar alignment, the main and guide cameras (with dithering), the filter wheel and the electric focuser with autofocus.

A key feature is the interactive star map, which holds over 10,000 target objects with labeled star names. You can select a target, and the app will show you its framing with your specific telescope's field of view, making it easy to plan your composition before capturing your first frame.

4 USB Ports and Broad Compatibility for ZWO, QHY, and More

Built on an open ecosystem, StellaVita is designed to work with a wide range of astrophotography equipment from many different manufacturers. Compatible manufacturers and devices include:

    • SDK-Compatible Cameras: ToupTek Astro (all), ZWO (cameras), QHYCCD (cameras).
    • INDI-Compatible Devices: ZWO (filter wheels, focusers, mounts), QHYCCD (filter wheels, focusers), PlayerOne (all devices), ATIK (cameras), Sky-Watcher (mounts), iOptron (all devices), Celestron (mounts), Gemini (focusers), Astroasis (focusers, filter wheels), and OnStep-based mounts (Meow, EasyMount, WarpAstron, CLEARSKY, JUWEI, BlackHole and others).
    • Supported DSLRs (via DSLR Port): Specific models include the Sony ILCE-A7M4, Nikon D5100, and Canon EOS 1300D, among others.

  • What equipment can I power with the ToupTek StellaVita controller?

Up to four 12V devices from the DC outputs, 3A per port, from a 12V 8A input. Suitable devices include deep-sky cameras, equatorial mounts and auto focusers.

How do I connect my devices to the ToupTek StellaVita?

You connect your equipment to the ToupTek StellaVita using standard cables. Power: Use the included DC power cables to connect your 12V devices to the four output ports. Data: Connect cameras, mounts, and accessories to the two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. Control: Connect your phone or tablet to the StellaVita_XXXX Wi-Fi network (default password 12345678), then open the StellaVita app.

Can I use the ToupTek StellaVita to control my Sky-Watcher or Celestron GoTo mount?

Sky-Watcher and Celestron equatorial mounts are INDI-compatible. In the app's mount settings you select the driver or use Start Scan to detect the mount, then use GoTo, tracking, Park and meridian flip. Individual mount models are not listed.

How does the StellaVita app help me find and frame a target like the Andromeda Galaxy (M31)?

Search the app's star map (over 10,000 target objects) for M31. The star map shows your telescope's field of view so you can frame the target before you shoot.

What is the effective Wi-Fi range of the ToupTek StellaVita?

The wireless range is up to 10 meters. It was measured in the lab and in open outdoor environments free from interference. The actual range you experience in the field will depend on factors like physical obstructions, other nearby Wi-Fi networks, and sources of radio interference.

Does the ToupTek StellaVita support cameras from ZWO and QHYCCD?

Yes. The ToupTek StellaVita provides native SDK support for cameras from both ZWO and QHYCCD, in addition to all ToupTek Astro cameras.
