    The Evoguide 50DX is a 50mm f/4.8 apochromatic doublet refractor with a 242mm focal length, using ED glass in its matched lens assembly. Sky-Watcher's doublet design delivers dark skies and faithful, contrast-rich views of planetary and deep-space objects in a scope small enough to serve as a guide scope.

    1.25" Helical Focuser and 0.86 kg Design

    The Evoguide 50DX's 1.25" helical focuser with a prime focus ring helps you reach precise focus. Mounting your guide camera is easy with the M42 rings on the back of the scope. At under two pounds, 0.86 kg (1.9 lb), the optical tube adds little weight to an imaging setup.

    A 242mm Astrograph: From Guide Scope to Wide-Field Imager

    Although initially designed for guide cameras, the Evoguide 50DX can also be used for fast, low focal length astrophotography when combined with a focal reducer or field flattener (not included), producing wide-field images. Sky-Watcher offers a dedicated optional field flattener for it (S20214, sold separately). The included tube rings, machined aluminum finder stalk and V-style mounting rail let it sit in a finder shoe or ride piggyback on a main telescope as an autoguider.
