Shipping in Canada

Shipping in Canada is free on most orders above CAD500+txs. The products, such as dobsonian telescopes, that are above 500$+tx and do not have a mention of free shipping are subject shipping fees that are calculated at checkout.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

We ask for a signature on delivery on a case by case basis, if you wish to get a signature for your order, please contact us. Additional fees may apply.

If you find an incoherent shipping price on our website, please contact us and we'll apply a correction, if necessary. 

USA Shipping

Shipping in USA is free on most orders above USD800+txs.

Please note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

Duties, taxes and charges

For USA customers, you may avoid paying duties/taxes if the value of the shipment does not exceed 800USD. If your shipment exceeds this 800USD De Minimis Value, duties and taxes will kick in. Please consult the information here or contact your local customs office to have complete and up to date information regarding all fees associated to importing goods in the United States.

We regularly ship in the USA. Here's what you can expect to pay for orders above USD800 from products that are NOT made in the USA. These values may change, you should contact you local custom office to get the most recent and accurate values.

-Telescopes: 8% for orders above USD800

-Telescope accessories: 8% for orders above USD800

-Camera: Duty free when not made in China. If made in China, a ~30% China tariff kicks in above USD800.

-Camera accessories: Duty free

The buyer is responsible for paying all the additional costs associated to the import, such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees (see next paragraph for customs clearance fees). These charges can vary widely and are often based on the price, the type and the country of origin of an item. Those fees are not included in the shipping charges nor in the item's price. The buyer will be required to pay upon delivery any duties, fees and taxes imposed by their government as well as customs clearance fees.

There are no brokerage fees on orders below USD800 or on orders shipped with UPS WorldWide Expedited. If your order is above USD800 and is shipped with UPS Standard, in addition to duties and taxes, you can expect brokerage fees. As of 2021, you can expect the brokerage fees from UPS Standard to be approximately:

  • Orders from $0.00 to $800.00: $0
  • Orders from $800.01 to $1250.00: $28.75
  • Orders from $1250.01 to $2500: $40.50
  • Each additional $1000.00: $1.95

International Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
