Celestron Mounts
Celestron mounts are sold without optics for observers who want to build their own setup or upgrade an existing tube. The computerized German equatorial range starts with the Advanced VX (about 30 lb payload), then the CGEM II (about 40 lb), the imaging-oriented CGX (about 55 lb) and the CGX-L (about 75 lb), offered with or without tripod.
The manual Omni CG-4 mount and tripod suits small refractors and Newtonians. Choose a mount whose payload comfortably exceeds your tube, camera and accessories.
