It absorbs stray, off-axis light from external sources like streetlights or moonlight, preventing it from entering the optical tube and washing out faint details. This lining also absorbs excess moisture, further managing dew and ensuring your views of deep-sky objects remain dark and full of contrast.

    A Custom Fit for 9.25" and 11" OTAs

    Designed for a perfect fit, the Dew Shield DX wraps securely around both 9.25-inch and 11-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD, and RASA optical tubes. The attachment is handled by robust Velcro strips, allowing you to adjust the tension for a non-slip grip. Extra padding along the attachment edge ensures a solid connection without scratching your telescope's finish, and a deep, wide dovetail cutout accommodates rails up to 4 inches wide.

    While designed specifically for Celestron 9.25" and 11" optical tubes, the flexible Polyethylene construction and adjustable Velcro closure may allow it to fit other brands. However, a perfect fit cannot be guaranteed, particularly around the dovetail bar.
