Starlight Instruments 2.0" Adapter for Borg M57
The Starlight Instruments 2.0" Adapter for Borg M57 provides a direct, secure connection between a 2.0" Feather Touch focuser and a Borg telescope's native M57 rear port. It has a 69 x 0.75mm thread for the FTF2008B-57MM focuser.
Upgrade Your Borg Telescope with a 2.0" Feather Touch Focuser
This adapter is the key component for replacing a stock Borg focuser with the unmatched precision of a 2.0" Starlight Instruments Feather Touch. By enabling this upgrade, you gain access to the zero-image-shift, heavy-payload capacity and dual-speed fine focusing essential for critical astrophotography and high-power visual observation. The result is a robust, flex-free connection from your telescope's optical tube to your camera or eyepiece.
69x0.75mm Thread for the FTF2008B-57MM
This adapter carries a 69 x 0.75mm thread for the Starlight Instruments FTF2008B-57MM 2.0" focuser. The opposite side fits Borg M57 telescopes. Like any adapter, it uses some of the available back focus.

Is this adapter all I need to install a 2.0" Feather Touch focuser on my Borg 71FL?
This adapter provides the correct mechanical connection between the focuser and a Borg telescope with an M57 port. However, you must also ensure that your complete imaging train (focuser, adapter, camera, etc.) does not exceed the total back focus available on your Borg 71FL. Always verify your specific optical configuration's spacing requirements.
Why should I upgrade my Borg telescope's focuser with a Starlight Instruments Feather Touch?
Upgrading to a Feather Touch focuser offers significant advantages, especially for astrophotography. You get extremely fine focus control from the 10:1 reduction knob, zero image shift when changing focus direction, and a robust design that can handle heavy camera and filter wheel combinations without flexure or slippage.
