SBIG Adaptive Optics (AO-8, AO-X)

SBIG Adaptive Optics units correct star motion many times per second by tilting an optical element in the light path, compensating for seeing, wind and small mount errors that ordinary guiding is too slow to catch. The AO-8 serves smaller cameras, and the larger AO-X covers STX and STXL class sensors.

Bundles pair each unit with the matching StarChaser guider: SC-2 with AO-8A, SC-3 and SC-4 with AO-X. An AO-8 conversion plate is also available.
