Shelyak Spectroheliographs (Sol'Ex, SUNSCAN)
Shelyak supplies the optical kits for Sol'Ex and SUNSCAN, two spectroheliographs that rebuild an image of the Sun line by line from its spectrum, in wavelengths such as H-alpha, calcium or sodium. Sol'Ex is a do-it-yourself instrument designed by Christian Buil, with 3D printed mechanical parts around the Shelyak optics. SUNSCAN, by STAROS Projects, is a more compact, integrated design.
A GEN2 two-position slit of 7 and 10 µm fits both instruments.
