  • The Askar 140 APO offers three premium optional accessories: a 1.0x flattener and a 0.8x reducer.

    Here, we present the 0.8x reducer, specifically optimized for the Askar 140 APO, which expands the telescope's capabilities.

    Description


    The 0.8x reducer reduces the Askar 140 APO's focal ratio to F5.6, functioning as a standard reducer with field-flattening capabilities. This shorter focal ratio allows the OTA to achieve a wider field of view and faster exposure times, making it ideal for capturing large areas of nebulae, star clusters, and faint, fast-moving celestial objects.


    Featuring a triplet design, the 0.8x reducer supports a 44mm full-frame image circle and weighs 0.75kg. It provides a standard 55mm back focus from the M48 thread, with an M92*1 front thread. The camera end is equipped with two adapter sizes, M54*0.75 and M48*0.75, for convenient connections.


    Additionally, it includes a built-in M48*0.75 2-inch filter thread for direct installation and use. The entire unit is CNC machined, with threaded metal caps on both ends to prevent dust accumulation when not in use.
