Explore Scientific cradle assemblies fit their appointed telescope OTA snuggly, yet protect the delicate surface of the tube. The hinged ring system separates easily by loosening the over-sized metal thumbscrews, and locks securely back into place once the OTA has been nestled inside the rings. Each extruded aluminum ring set is topped with a slotted carry handle so that it is easy to move your telescope around when it is off the mount. Attach a camera, guidescope, or other accessory to the top of the handle with standard 1/4–20 bolts. Each cradle ring assembly comes with a dovetail plate for quick attachment to a variety of “Vixen-style” mounts, including the Twilight Mount from Explore Scientific.
