When would I need the Lunt Backing Plate & Focuser on my LS100MT?
You need this assembly to use the LS100MT with a White Light Wedge or CaK module, or with a diagonal for terrestrial or night use. It connects to the opening of the OTA after the H-alpha module and its focuser are removed.
Is this an upgrade for the Lunt LS100MT telescope?
It is the modular conversion part for the LS100MT. It takes the place of the H-alpha module and its focuser so the telescope can be used with a white light wedge or CaK module, or with a diagonal for terrestrial and nighttime observing.
Can I use this LS100MT focuser on a different Lunt telescope, like the LS80MT?
