As a core component of the Prima Luce Universal System, these 105mm rings create a rigid, versatile structure for attaching dovetail plates, guide rings, and other accessories both above and below your 105mm telescope.

    CNC-Machined Rigidity for a 105mm Foundation

    Unlike cast or bent-metal rings that can introduce flexure into an imaging setup, each 105mm PLUS ring is machined with high precision from a single block of aluminum. This method ensures perfect roundness and structural integrity. The aluminum is then sandblasted for a smooth finish and hard-anodized to increase surface hardness and protect against oxidation, resulting in a mounting platform that will not yield under load.

    Full PLUS System Integration for 105mm Telescopes

    These 105mm rings are designed to be the central connection point in your astrophotography rig. The PLUS system's array of threaded holes and slots allows you to securely bolt other PLUS components directly to the rings. You can attach a Losmandy or Vixen plate below for the mount connection and another plate above to hold a guide scope, an EAGLE computer, or other accessories, creating a single, mechanically rigid assembly.

    Are these 105mm rings hinged?

    No, the PrimaLuceLab 105mm PLUS Support Rings are a solid, non-hinged design. To install them, you must remove any dovetail plate from your telescope and slide the optical tube through the rings. This design is inherently more rigid than a hinged clamshell.
