  • Starlight Instruments 2.0" Adapter for Synta Telescopes

This Starlight Instruments tube adapter is the critical mechanical link for upgrading select refractors to a high-precision 2.0" Feather Touch focuser. It is made for the small Synta-manufactured telescopes with a 3.41" inside tube dimension.

Precision Fit for Small 3.41" ID Synta Refractors

Engineered for the small Synta-manufactured telescopes with a 3.41" inside tube dimension, this adapter provides a solid mounting point for a 2.0" Feather Touch focuser. Most Synta-made scopes have a 3.804" tube dimension and use adapter A20-292 instead, so measure your tube before ordering.

This component is essential for imagers and visual observers who want to replace a stock focuser with the zero-shift, heavy-duty alternative that Starlight Instruments is known for.

Enabling a 2.0" Feather Touch Focuser Upgrade

The primary purpose of this adapter is to unlock the full potential of your telescope's optics by allowing the installation of a Starlight Instruments 2.0" Feather Touch focuser. Stock focusers on many mass-produced refractors can introduce image shift, flexure with heavy cameras, and imprecise fine focus control.

By using this adapter, you create a rigid, perfectly aligned foundation for a Feather Touch. This upgrade results in dramatically improved focusing accuracy for high-magnification planetary viewing and eliminates mechanical flexure during long-exposure astrophotography, ensuring your stars remain perfectly round.

  • What is the purpose of this Starlight Instruments 2.0" adapter?

This adapter is designed to allow you to mount a Starlight Instruments 2.0" Feather Touch focuser onto small Synta-manufactured telescopes with a 3.41" inside tube dimension. It replaces the telescope's original focuser mounting system.

How do I confirm this adapter will fit my Synta-made refractor?

No specific models are listed, so measure your telescope. Remove the stock focuser and measure the inside diameter of the tube where the focuser mounts: this adapter is for a 3.41" inside dimension. Most Synta-made scopes measure 3.804" and need adapter A20-292.

Which Starlight Instruments focuser should I use with this adapter?

This adapter is made to be paired with a Starlight Instruments 2.0" Feather Touch focuser, specifically the FTF2025BCR. The focuser body will then attach to this tube adapter.
