  • Starlight Instruments Mounting Bracket for Focuser Boss II Control Hub

This aluminum mounting plate from Starlight Instruments provides a dedicated attachment point for your Focuser Boss II Control Hub, making it easy to mount the hub to any telescope pier or mount.

A Mounting Plate for the Focuser Boss II

Starlight offers this aluminum plate as an option for the Focuser Boss II. It gives the control hub a fixed place on your telescope pier or mount.

  • What types of surfaces can I attach this Focuser Boss II bracket to, for example on a pier or tripod?

It is a plate that mounts the Focuser Boss II hub to any telescope pier or mount; no tripod or dovetail fittings are listed.

Why is using this dedicated bracket better than a generic solution like Velcro for my Focuser Boss II setup?

A dedicated bracket provides a much more secure and stable attachment than Velcro or adhesive tape. It holds the control hub in place on your pier or mount.

Does the Starlight Instruments Mounting Bracket come with screws for attaching it to my mount?

Starlight does not list mounting hardware with the plate, so plan on fasteners suited to your pier or mount.

Is this bracket compatible with the original Focuser Boss or only the Focuser Boss II?

This bracket is explicitly designed for the Focuser Boss II Control Hub. Compatibility with the original Focuser Boss hub is not guaranteed, as the chassis and mounting points may be different.
