  • A Finderscope Mount for Your Tele Vue Ring

    The Tele Vue Finderscope Adapter Bracket (FAB-1008) is an adapter block that slips into one of the dovetail grooves of a Tele Vue tube mounting ring and accepts the Losmandy 50mm quick-release finder bracket, so a 50mm finderscope can be fitted to a Tele Vue refractor. This simple but essential adapter eliminates the need for universal mounting rings or less stable solutions. It creates a rigid, unified system for pointing your instrument with confidence.

    Tube Ring Mounting Interface

    The block slips into one of the dovetail grooves cut into each Tele Vue tube mounting ring and is held in place by hex-head bolts.

    Secure Finder Base Receptacle

    The top of the block takes the dovetail of the Losmandy 50mm finder bracket (sold separately), locked by a single finger-tighten knob, and its angled channel also fits red dot finders with a Picatinny-style mount. The finder can be removed quickly so the telescope fits in its carrying case.

    Is this bracket necessary to mount a Starbeam finder on a Tele Vue scope?

    No. The Quick-Release Starbeam mounts in the channel of a Tele Vue mount ring with its own Quick Release Bracket; the FAB-1008 is for a Losmandy 50mm finder bracket.
