  • Add the Flip Mirror to an Older Starbeam

    The Tele Vue Flip-Mirror (SFM-1005) is the flip mirror for the Starbeam reflex finder, sold on its own to upgrade older Starbeam models. It is not a standalone accessory: it attaches to the Starbeam's illuminator housing. Tilt it back and you can see the reflection of the Starbeam's beamsplitter mirror/lens in the flip mirror.

    How the Flip Mirror Works

    To use the flip mirror, simply tilt it back until you can see the reflection of the Starbeam's beamsplitter mirror/lens in it. It sits on the Starbeam finder, not in the telescope's light path.

    An Important Compatibility Note

    This is a specialized component, not a universal accessory. The Tele Vue Flip-Mirror (SFM-1005) is for upgrading older Starbeam finders; it attaches to the Starbeam's illuminator housing and does not fit a telescope focuser or diagonal.
