The Tele Vue TV-60 APO Refractor
The Tele Vue TV-60 is a high-performance, super-compact 60mm f/6 APO doublet. Tele Vue describes it as a super-finder, a day/night scope, and a telephoto lens with real imaging capability for digital cameras.
Small Enough for Anywhere
The optical tube is 10" long and weighs 3 lbs (3.3 lbs in standard configuration); with a 1.25" diagonal it is 12". It rides on a light photo tripod, piggybacks on a larger telescope, and packs into a day bag.
Wide Fields, Sharp Stars
Tele Vue rates the TV-60 for a 4.3° maximum field with a 1.25" 32mm Plössl or 24mm Panoptic and a maximum recommended power of 150x. A single low-power eyepiece frames whole constellations, star clouds and large nebulae.
Helical Focuser and Balance Bar
Focus is by a 1.25" helical focuser. An adjustable dovetail balance bar with mounting threads lets you slide the tube to balance and attach it directly to a mount or tripod.
