    NASA-Derived Radiant Barrier: Protection from Sun & Dew

    The core of the Telegizmos cover is its solar radiant barrier material, a material originally developed for NASA as a spacecraft insulator. This multi-layer polyethylene (not Mylar) has a fully aluminized surface that acts as a radiant barrier, keeping a scope left in sunlight much cooler. Embedded fibrous webbing makes it strong, light, and tear and puncture resistant. The material is waterproof, and the seams are double lap sewn for strength, giving rain protection during temporary outside storage.

    Is it possible for condensation to form under the Telegizmos cover?

    Yes, under certain conditions. While the cover is waterproof from the outside, condensation can still form on the inside surface of the cover or on the telescope itself during large, rapid temperature drops or in very humid environments. This is possible with any cover.
