  • Telrad Mounting Base (only)

    The Telrad Mounting Base (item 2001) is the base sold on its own. A mounting base is included with all Telrad Reflex Sights; an extra base lets you install a Telrad on another telescope and move the sight between them.

    Equip a Second Telescope

    Attach this base to a second telescope and keep the original base on the first. The Telrad sight is held on its base by the base's thumb screws, so it can be moved from one base to the other.

    Telrad Base Extensions (2.5 in and 4 in) fit between this base and the Telrad and are secured with the same thumb screws.

  • Why would I need an extra Telrad Mounting Base?

    An extra Telrad Mounting Base lets you use one Telrad Reflex Sight on more than one telescope: install a base on each telescope and move the sight between them.

    Is this the same base that comes with a new Telrad Reflex Sight?

    Telrad includes a mounting base with all Telrad Reflex Sights; item 2001 is that base sold on its own.

    Will the Telrad Mounting Base work with a Telrad Base Extension?

    Yes. Telrad's Base Extension installs between the standard mounting base and the Telrad and is secured with the mounting base thumb screws.

    Are screws or tape included?

    Telrad does not say whether the base-only item includes the thumb screws or base tape. Both are available as replacement parts (mounting base screws, set of two; base tape).
