  • ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable

The ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable splits a single power source into 2 separate outputs, providing a 6-inch reach for powering multiple accessories in the field. This power cable is covered by a 2-year warranty, ensuring reliable power management for your portable astrophotography setup.

Power 2 Accessories from 1 Port

Designed for field use, this cable runs two RCA-powered devices, such as dew heater strips, from a single 2.1x5.5mm DC power output, such as a 12V port on an ASIAIR or a power hub. It simplifies your power management by reducing the number of cables running to your power source, keeping your mobile imaging rig clean and organized.

6-inch Cable with DC and RCA Connectors

This 6-inch cable features a 2.1x5.5mm male DC plug on one end and terminates in two female RCA connectors on the other. This configuration is ideal for connecting RCA-powered accessories, such as dew heaters, to power outputs that use standard 2.1x5.5mm DC sockets.

  • What is the primary use for the ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable?

The ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable is designed to take a single power output from a 2.1x5.5mm DC port and split it into two RCA outputs. This allows you to power two separate 12V RCA accessories, such as dew heaters, simultaneously from one port.

What specific connectors does the ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable have?

It features one male 2.1x5.5mm DC plug on the input side (Side A) and terminates in two female RCA connectors for the output (Side B), as specified for this 6-inch cable.

Can I power two dew heaters from my portable battery pack with the ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable?

Yes, if your battery pack has a 2.1x5.5mm DC output port and your dew heaters use RCA plugs, this 6-inch cable will allow you to power both from that single port.

Is the ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable long enough to reach from a mount to the OTA?

With a total length of 6 inches, this cable is intended for short connections, such as from a power distribution hub mounted on the telescope to nearby accessories. It is not designed for long cable runs from the ground to the mount.

Can I use this ZWO cable to power my ZWO camera and filter wheel?

No. The outputs are female RCA connectors, which are used by accessories such as dew heaters. ZWO cooled cameras use a 2.1x5.5mm DC power input and ZWO filter wheels are powered over USB, so this cable is not intended for them.

What is the warranty period for the ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable?

The ZWO DC Y Splitter Cable comes with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
