    No, this groove is designed exclusively for the narrower V-Series (Vixen) standard. Its clamp is sized for V-Series bars and will not accept a wider D-series bar.

    Is the ZWO Dovetail Groove compatible with the original, first-generation ASIAIR?

    No, this accessory is specifically designed for the form factor and mounting points of the ASIAIR Pro and ASIAIR Plus models only. It will not fit the original red ASIAIR unit.

    No. This groove replaces the original foot, which contains the 1/4"-20 threaded holes used for standard tripod mounting. To mount it to a tripod, you would need a V-Series dovetail bar attached to the tripod head.
