  • Vaonis Vespera II Smart Telescope

    The Vespera II observation station is a compact, fully automatic smart telescope. Its apochromatic quadruplet and 8.3MP Sony IMX585 sensor capture nebulae, galaxies and star clusters in color, right on your phone or tablet. Choose the telescope only, to use with a Vaonis or compatible tripod you already own, or the kit with the Vaonis carbon fiber tripod.

    Apochromatic optics and an 8.3MP sensor

    The 50mm, f/5 quadruplet in two groups of two lenses uses S-FPL52 extra-low dispersion glass and a field corrector. The 3840 x 2160 pixel sensor gives a native field of 2.5° x 1.4°, and CovalENS mosaics reach 4.33° x 2.43°.

    Automatic from setup to final image

    Open the Singularity app, choose a target and the Vespera II points itself, focuses, tracks the sky and stacks images live. It creates its own Wi-Fi network, so no internet connection is needed in the field.

    Compact enough for every trip

    At 5 kg and 40 x 20 x 9 cm, the Vespera II fits in a backpack. Its battery runs about 4 h and recharges by USB-C.

    A light carbon fiber tripod

    The carbon fiber tripod weighs 0.9 kg, supports up to 14 kg, raises the telescope up to 91 cm and folds down to 43 cm, so it travels as easily as the telescope. It comes with a bag with shoulder strap.

  • Which kit should I choose?

    The Telescope Only kit is the Vespera II alone: add the Vaonis standard tripod or use a compatible tripod you already own. The Carbon Fiber Tripod kit adds the Vaonis carbon fiber tripod with its carrying bag; it extends up to 91 cm and weighs 0.9 kg.

    Is a charger included?

    No. The Vespera II charges through USB-C with a USB-C Power Delivery charger, which is not included.

    Do I need a computer or an internet connection?

    No. The telescope creates its own Wi-Fi network and is controlled with the free Singularity app on a smartphone or tablet. No internet connection is needed in the field.

    Can I use filters with it?

    Yes. Vaonis offers optional filters, including the CLS filter for light-polluted skies, the Dual Band filter for emission nebulae and the Solar filter for observing the Sun. No filter is built in.
