Mounts arrive complete in the sense that they work, and incomplete in the sense that most setups need something the box did not contain — a hand controller holder, a levelling aid, an azimuth adjuster, a way to attach a power distributor without cable-tying it to a leg. Does levelling the mount matter?
For polar alignment and GoTo accuracy, yes. An unlevel base makes the alignment routine less reliable and can leave residual pointing error even after a good star alignment.
Where should I mount a power distributor?
