Does red light really matter?
Yes. Full dark adaptation takes twenty to thirty minutes and a moment of white light resets much of it. Deep red at low brightness preserves it almost entirely.
Why does an observing chair help?
A seated observer is steadier at the eyepiece and can observe far longer without fatigue, and detecting faint detail depends heavily on sustained relaxed attention. It is one of the cheapest genuine improvements available.
Are green laser pointers legal to use?
