    This ZWO EAF Bracket enables precise, automated focusing on your Celestron C8 or C9.25 telescope by providing a rigid mounting point for a ZWO electronic focuser. The kit includes both a 5 mm and a 4 mm flexible coupling to connect to various EAF models. All necessary hardware, including two M4-8mm and three M3-14mm screws, is supplied for a direct, secure installation.

    Automated Focusing for 8" and 9.25" Celestron OTAs

    This bracket replaces the manual focus knob on Celestron 8" and 9.25" Schmidt-Cassegrain, EdgeHD, and RASA optical tubes, allowing direct control with a ZWO EAF (sold separately). By automating focus, you eliminate the image shift and vibrations inherent in manual adjustment, achieving repeatable, critical focus for high-resolution imaging. This is a dedicated solution; once installed, focusing is handled electronically via the EAF.

    CNC Machined Bracket with 4mm & 5mm Couplings

    The bracket is CNC machined from a solid block of aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring a perfect fit and rigid connection that won't flex or slip during a session. ZWO includes two different flexible shaft couplings to ensure compatibility across their EAF lineup. The 5 mm coupling fits the standard EAF-5V, while the 4 mm coupling is for the newer EAFN and EAF Pro models.

    Direct Installation with Included M3 & M4 Hardware

    Installation is straightforward, completely bypassing the telescope's original focuser mechanism for a direct-drive connection. The kit contains all the required fasteners for the job. The three M3-14mm screws secure the bracket to the telescope's rear cell, and the two M4-8mm screws mount the EAF motor body to the bracket itself.

    No. Installing this bracket requires the removal of the telescope's original manual focus knob. The EAF motor connects directly to the focusing shaft, so all focus adjustments must be made electronically through the EAF controller or software.

    Does installing the ZWO EAF bracket on my RASA 8 require permanent modifications?

    No, the installation is fully reversible. The bracket attaches using existing screw holes on the RASA 8's rear cell after you remove the stock focuser knob. No drilling or other permanent modifications are required, and you can restore the telescope to its original configuration at any time.
