    ZWO FF80 APO 0.76× Full Frame Reducer - Overview

    The ZWO FF80APO 0.76X Full Frame Reducer is a high-performance accessory designed to enhance the imaging capabilities of your FF80APO f/7.5 astrograph. Featuring a three-element optical design, including one ED glass element, this reducer shortens the focal ratio and focal length, improving your wide-field deep-sky imaging experience.

    Optical Design and Reduction Factor

    The 0.76× reduction factor reduces the focal ratio of the FF80APO from f/7.5 to f/5.7, enhancing light gathering and shortening exposure times.

    Reduces the focal length to 456mm, expanding the field of view for capturing a broader portion of the sky.

    Improved Imaging Efficiency

    The shortened focal length and faster focal ratio reduce integration time, allowing for quicker captures of deep-sky objects with more detail.

    Standard 55mm Back Focus Distance

    The 55mm back focus distance ensures compatibility with a variety of astrophotography setups, offering ease of use and flexibility.

    Convenient and Simple Connectivity

    Designed to attach seamlessly to the FF80APO telescope via its four-segment camera extension tube, making installation straightforward.

    The built-in M48x0.75 2-inch filter thread allows easy attachment of filters.

    Detailed Setup and Connection Instructions

    1. Prepare the FF80APO Telescope Tube and Reducer:
      Ensure you have the FF80APO telescope tube and the 0.76X reducer ready for installation.
    2. Remove the Four-Segment Connector:


      Unscrew the four-segment connector at the end of the FF80APO telescope tube to make space for the reducer.
    3. Attach the Reducer:
      Unscrew the end cap of the 0.76X reducer and attach it to the M68 thread of the four-segment connector.
    4. Insert and Secure the Reducer:
      Unscrew the front cap of the reducer, insert it into the focuser inner tube, and tighten to ensure a stable connection.

    The ZWO FF80APO 0.76X Full Frame Reducer is ideal for wide-field deep-sky imaging, offering a wider field of view and reduced exposure times.
