  • Starlight Instruments 2.0" Adapter Rack/Pinion for Astro-Physics 2.7" Female Thread

The Starlight Instruments A20-3003-5 adapter connects the 2.0" Feather Touch rack and pinion focuser to a telescope or accessory with an Astro-Physics 2.7" female thread. This adapter is covered by a Starlight Instruments 2-year warranty.

A Secure Link for the 2.0" Rack & Pinion Focuser

This adapter is engineered specifically for the Starlight Instruments 2.0" Feather Touch rack and pinion focuser, which can lift and hold 13 to 15 pounds and has 1.5" of draw tube travel. Tube adapters fit a Feather Touch focuser to a specific telescope, most by screwing onto the tube's own thread.

Precision Fit for Astro-Physics 2.7" Female Threads

The telescope side fits the Astro-Physics 2.7" female thread. Which Astro-Physics telescopes use that thread is not listed for this part, so check your telescope before ordering.

  • Which Starlight Instruments focuser is the A20-3003-5 adapter for?

It is listed for the 2.0" Feather Touch rack and pinion focuser (RP in Starlight's part name). Starlight makes other adapters for its 2.0" Crayford focusers.

Will the A20-3003-5 adapter fit my Astro-Physics refractor?

The A20-3003-5 adapter fits any Astro-Physics telescope or accessory that has a 2.7" female thread. You must confirm your specific telescope's thread size before ordering, as different Astro-Physics models may use different connection standards.

How does the A20-3003-5 adapter attach to the telescope?

It fits the telescope's 2.7" female thread. Other installation details are not published for this part.

Can I use this A20-3003-5 adapter if my telescope is not an Astro-Physics?

No. This adapter is listed for the Astro-Physics 2.7" female thread. To mount a 2.0" Feather Touch rack and pinion focuser on a different brand of telescope, you must use the correct adapter made for that specific instrument's threads (e.g., for Celestron or Sky-Watcher).
